What Type of Fuel Should I Use?
We strongly recommend using non-ethanol fuel for optimal engine performance and longevity.
⛽ Recommended Fuel:
Non-ethanol gasoline is ideal for marine engines, as it prevents issues caused by ethanol separation.
⚠️ Why Avoid Ethanol Fuel?
Ethanol tends to separate from gasoline, especially during storage.
This can lead to:
Clogged injectors or carburetors
Fuel system damage
Difficult starts and poor performance
🧪 Fuel Stabilizer Recommendations:
If non-ethanol fuel is unavailable and ethanol-based fuel must be used, always use a high-quality fuel stabilizer to protect your engine.
We recommend:
CRC Marine Fuel Stabilizer
Keeps stored gasoline and diesel fresh
Prevents rust, corrosion, gum, and varnish buildup
Safe for both 2- and 4-cycle engines
Captain PHAB Marine Fuel Treatment
Clear and clean marine-grade formulation
Protects against fuel deposit formation
Absorbs moisture to prevent corrosion
Using the right fuel and stabilizer helps ensure reliable starts, cleaner engine operation, and a longer life for your marine engine. For more help, contact us at hello@shiptech.ca.
