Introducing Ancor Duplex Cables: Your Trusted Source for Unmatched Marine Electrical Performance

When it comes to marine electrical systems, reliability and durability are non-negotiable. Ancor Duplex Cables are the epitome of excellence in marine wiring, meticulously engineered to meet and exceed industry standards while providing you with unrivaled peace of mind on the water.

Tinned Copper Stranding for Ultimate Protection: At the heart of Ancor Duplex Cables lies a foundation of tinned copper stranding, meticulously designed to offer maximum protection against two formidable foes: corrosion and electrolysis. This robust construction ensures that your electrical connections remain steadfast, even in the harshest of maritime environments.

Exceptional Flexibility for Demanding Conditions: Ancor understands that marine conditions can be relentless. To combat this, our cables feature ultra-flexible (Type 3) stranding that resists fatigue stemming from vibration and flexing. This adaptability ensures that your wiring remains resilient and secure, no matter how rough the seas or demanding the application.

Premium Vinyl Insulation for Versatility: The insulation of Ancor Duplex Cables is nothing short of exceptional. Crafted from premium vinyl, it maintains its flexibility even in extreme cold conditions. But that's not all - it also stands strong against the corrosive forces of salt water, the harshness of battery acid, the threat of oil and gasoline exposure, and the relentless assault of ultraviolet radiation. Ancor Duplex Cables are built to withstand the elements.

User-Friendly Design: We understand that convenience matters, which is why Ancor Duplex Cables feature a flat white outer jacket. This design makes cable removal effortless while providing top-notch abrasion resistance. Plus, the inner conductors are meticulously color-coded to ABYC standards, making installation a breeze for professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.

High Standards, High Performance: Ancor Duplex Cables aren't just compliant with industry standards; they exceed them. With insulation rated at 600 volts and capable of withstanding temperatures of 105°C dry and 75°C wet, these cables are built to endure the most rigorous conditions. They meet and surpass all UL 1426, US Coast Guard Charterboat (CFR Title 46), and ABYC standards, ensuring your safety and peace of mind on the water.

In conclusion, when it comes to marine electrical wiring, Ancor Duplex Cables stand out as the gold standard. Their tinned copper stranding, flexibility, premium insulation, and adherence to the highest industry standards make them the ideal choice for any marine electrical application. Trust Ancor Duplex Cables to keep you connected and safe, no matter where your maritime adventures take you.

Wire Flexibility Explained

Wire flexibility is influenced by two major factors: Wire strand sized jacket hardness.

Wire strand size has the largest impact on overall wire flexibility.

As individual wire strand size decreases, wire flexibility increases. For boat cable, UL 1426 requires at least 19 individual strands for cables 16 AWG and larger, Ancor wire uses type 3 stranding which consists of  individual 30 AWG (0.010”) strands, regardless of the wire gauge .Ancor’s 16 AWG wire, consists of 26 individual strands, while the 4/0 AWG wire consists of 2,109 individual strands

jacket hardness is most commonly measured by durometer, with lower measurements reflecting a more flexible material. Ancor wire measures 7 points lower than competitive product (on a scale of 1-100), resulting in a more flexible product.
